Why I Started Offbeat Experiences
Kenya reveals itself slowly. While the iconic wildlife moments are unforgettable, I’ve always been drawn to the quieter layers; the landscapes between sightings, the people who know the land intimately, and the small details that shape a deeper understanding of the country.
Over time, I realized that many safari experiences focus mainly on observation. Yet some of the most meaningful moments come from understanding what lies behind what you see.
I started Offbeat Experiences to create journeys that connect travelers not only to wildlife, but also to the people, landscapes, and conservation efforts that sustain it. One of the most rewarding parts of this work is introducing guests to the individuals who inspire me most; rangers, conservation teams, and community leaders working every day to protect Kenya’s future.
Through these connections, travel becomes more than simply visiting a destination. It becomes an opportunity to engage more thoughtfully with the places we move through and the people who call them home.
At its heart, Offbeat Experiences is built on the belief that travel should be grounded in respect, curiosity, and genuine connection. My hope is that every journey leaves travelers not only with lasting memories, but with a deeper appreciation for Kenya and the systems that make it extraordinary.

Judy and Clinton did a fantastic job. Our tour to the Nairobi National Park was a memorable experience. Judy took a lot of care in helping us prepare and know what to expect. Everything was very well arranged.
We took the advice for an early morning visit and had a chance to see a big share of the animal species present in the park. Clinton's knowledge of the animals and their environment was impressive. The vehicle used was great as well. Would strongly recommend this team to others!
