9-Day Kenya Conservation & Wildlife Safari

Arrive in Nairobi and transfer to your hotel. Today is unstructured, allowing time to recover
from your flight and settle in. Depending on arrival time, you may relax at the hotel or
explore nearby cafés and restaurants. A welcome briefing may take place in the evening or
the following morning, depending on arrival schedules.

After breakfast, head out for a morning game drive in Nairobi National Park. Wildlife sightings
may include giraffes, buffalo, zebra, antelope, and, occasionally, lions or rhinos, all set
against the backdrop of Nairobi’s skyline.
Later in the morning, visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to learn about elephant rescue
and rehabilitation. After lunch, continue to the Giraffe Centre to feed endangered
Rothschild’s giraffes and learn about conservation education efforts.
Later in the day, you may choose to visit a Maasai market, explore local shops, or experience
Nairobi’s vibrant food and nightlife scene.

After breakfast, depart Nairobi and drive north toward Laikipia, a journey of approximately
four to five hours, with scenic views along the way. Arrive at Ol Pejeta Conservancy in time
for lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive across the conservancy, home to the Big Five and the
last remaining northern white rhinos. Wildlife commonly seen here includes elephants, lions,
rhinos, plains game, and a wide variety of birdlife.
As the day winds down, you may choose an optional sundowner experience or an optional
night game drive, depending on availability.

Begin the day with an early morning game drive, when wildlife activity is at its peak. After
breakfast, visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, Kenya’s only refuge for rescued
chimpanzees.
In the afternoon, take part in a conservation activity or visit the rhino sanctuary. One
conservation activity is included in the trip and can include lion tracking, meeting the
northern white rhinos, a guided bush or bird walk, dog tracking, behind-the-scenes
chimpanzee care, or rhino monitoring. Additional activities may be arranged at an extra cost,
subject to availability.
The evening allows time to relax at the lodge or continue exploring the conservancy while
gaining deeper insight into how conservation, tourism, and community coexist.

After breakfast, depart Ol Pejeta and drive south through the Great Rift Valley to Lake
Naivasha, a journey of approximately five to six hours, with stops along the way. Arrive at
your lodge in time for lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat ride on Lake Naivasha, spotting hippos and abundant
birdlife, followed by a guided walking safari on Crescent Island. Here, you walk among
giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and antelope in an open, predator-free environment.
Return to the lodge for a relaxed evening by the lake.

Today is designed as a slower-paced day, offering flexible experiences based on individual
interests and energy levels.
Options include:
a) Cycling, walking, or driving through Hell’s Gate National Park among wildlife such as
zebras, giraffes, African buffalo, eland, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, and olive
baboons. You can also do rock climbing or visit the geothermal spa.
b) Hiking Mount Longonot for panoramic views of the Rift Valley, followed by a boat ride
on Lake Naivasha.
c) Visiting Soysambu Conservancy, which plays a key role in protecting the endangered
Rothschild’s giraffe while supporting diverse wildlife across acacia woodland, open
plains, volcanic hills, and seasonal wetlands.
d) Visiting Lake Elementaita Sanctuary for birdwatching and conservation learning.
e) Resting at the lodge and enjoying the lakeside setting.
This choice-based day allows you to balance activity, rest, and nature without rushing.

After breakfast, depart Naivasha and travel to the Maasai Mara, a drive of approximately five
to six hours. Arrive at camp in time for lunch.
In the afternoon, head out on your first game drive in the Maasai Mara. Wildlife sightings may
include elephants, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, and large herds of plains game spread across the
open savannah.
Optional experiences, such as a sundowner or night game drive, may be available depending
on the camp and season.

Rise early for a morning game drive, when predators are most active and the light is ideal for
wildlife viewing and photography. You may choose an optional hot air balloon safari at sunrise,
offering sweeping aerial views of the Mara, followed by a bush breakfast.
The afternoon is unstructured. You may relax at camp, enjoy the surrounding landscapes,
head out for an afternoon game drive, or visit a nearby Maasai community to learn about local
culture, traditions, and daily life.

After breakfast, depart the Maasai Mara and drive back to Nairobi, a journey of approximately
five to six hours. You will be transferred to the airport or your preferred drop-off point,
