Why I Started Offbeat Experiences
Kenya reveals itself slowly.
The iconic wildlife moments are unforgettable, but I’ve always been drawn to the quieter layers too: the landscapes between sightings, the people who know the land intimately, the stories behind a place and the small details that can completely change how you experience it.
Over time, I realised that many travel experiences focus heavily on getting from one attraction to the next.
Yet some of the most memorable moments happen when you have time to stop, ask questions, meet people and understand what lies behind what you’re seeing.
I started Offbeat Experiences to create those kinds of journeys.
That includes introducing travellers to people doing work I deeply admire, from conservation teams and community leaders to guides and local hosts. It also means creating opportunities for travellers to experience Kenya through its landscapes, cultures, wildlife, food, learning and everyday life.
At its heart, Offbeat is built on curiosity, respect and genuine connection.
I want people to leave a journey with great memories, but also with a different understanding of the place they have visited.
